Cultural Arts Program and Stipends

To bridge the child care gap for eligible members who work weekends, we can cover the costs for full-day Saturday classes for your children during the school year.

Classes typically offer dance, music, theater, arts and crafts, martial arts, SAT preparation, tutoring and much more. There are just two requirements: You must use one of the contracted child care providers, and there is a $100 co-payment.

If you find a weekend provider who is not one of our contracted providers, you may be eligible for the Cultural Arts Stipend Program. If all provider criteria are met, you may be reimbursed for the partial or total cost of the program up to a maximum of $700.

To qualify for the Cultural Arts Stipend Program, you must find a provider who:

  • Has a tax identification number
  • Has operated an established arts, recreational or educational institution for more than two years
  • Offers age-appropriate arts, recreational or educational programs to children ages five through 17, and
  • Has established course descriptions and a fee schedule.
