New Pharmacy Benefit Provider Effective July 1

Starting on July 1, CVS Caremark will replace Express Scripts as the Benefit Funds’ pharmacy benefit provider. At that time, providers should: 

• Submit acute and maintenance drug prescriptions in The 90 Day Rx Solution to CVS Caremark Mail Service Pharmacy for mail order fulfillment; if your 1199SEIU patient prefers to pick up the medication at a retail pharmacy, submit prescriptions to a CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens or Duane Reade pharmacy; 
• Submit specialty drug prescriptions to CVS Caremark instead of Accredo; and 
• Review the CVS Standard Control with the Advanced Control Specialty Formulary for formulary information on the Benefit Funds’ website or call (833) 250-3273. 

There will be one CVS telephone number for members, physicians and pharmacies to call regarding prescription benefits for their Benefit Funds patients. Details will be available on the Benefit Funds’ Prescription Program page starting on July 1.
