What’s Cooking

Preparing nutritious meals is an important part of living a healthy lifestyle, so that’s why we created our cookbook, What’s Cooking, a collection of healthy recipes by 1199SEIU members and retirees. What’s Cooking has already helped thousands of members incorporate better eating and cooking habits into their daily lives. Each recipe has been evaluated by a professional nutritionist, and the cookbook lists a complete nutritional breakdown of every dish, along with nutritional advice, lists of healthy substitutions and other important eating tips.

Now we need your help: We’re putting together a second edition of What’s Cooking and want to hear from you! If you have a healthy and delicious family favorite recipe, please share it with us, and we may include it in the next edition. Whether it’s a simple soup, a healthy snack or a low-calorie dessert, it could help make serving delicious and nutritious meals a little easier for fellow 1199ers and their families. Click here to send your recipe!

1199SEIU members and retirees can receive a free copy of the current edition of What’s Cooking when they attend a Protecting Our Health workshop or event. What’s Cooking is also available at Amazon.com.
