Tens of thousands of 1199ers are eligible for the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and every year, we partner with the Food Bank For New York City to help them claim the money that they’ve earned – and deserve. The Benefit Fund offers tax assistance workshops throughout the greater New York area beginning in late January and running through mid-April.

If you are a member or a retiree, you’ll receive free tax preparation assistance at these workshops, where certified professionals will help you file for the EITC if you’re eligible for it.
